Chardonnay Caliz DOC - white - Kurtatsch - South Tirol

The name “Caliz” comes from the Latin terms calix (chalice) and calx (limestone). Chardonnay Caliz is grown exclusively on light, gravelly soils, in high proportions in limestone dolomite. The delicious bouquet evokes ripe pineapples, baby bananas and cedar peels. The characteristic richness of the Mediterranean fruit is integrated with the energetic acid structure from batches of Chardonnay selected from high-altitude vineyards. By maturing on the fine broom in large wooden barrels for a longer time, the wine acquires complexity and texture. Significant temperature differences between day and night enrich the wine with spices, the finish of Caliz is long and mineral. Grapes: 100% Chardonnay
